Your First Driving Lesson

How to book your first lesson step by step

1. To book a lesson simply click the link
2. Choose your vehicle type (automatic/manual) and enter your postcode. 
3. Then select the package you would like to book. (Note: Please NOTE, We recommend booking a 2-hour lesson before committing to any larger package)

What happens next?

After booking your lesson, you will receive a confirmation email from LDA with detailed instructions.

As part of the legal requirements for your first lesson, driving instructor  must check your provisional driving licence (please ensure you have it with you) and your eyesight (you must be able to read a standard vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres)

Your instructor will be automatically assigned based on availability, your preference for manual or automatic, and your postcode area. You will normally remain with the same instructor in future lessons. Subsequent lessons should be arranged directly with your instructor.

Pass Plus allows drivers to enhance their skills and get that extra experience before driving alone and in situations not necessarily covered within normal driving lessons.

• Please ensure you have your instructor’s phone number, as it is the easiest way to cancel or rearrange future lessons.
• If you would like to request a different instructor, please give us a call on 01865 722 148  
• We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any lesson cancellations or changes.

Payment Methods

• You can pay your instructor directly by either cash or bank transfer.
• Please note that payment for your first lesson must be made at least 24 hours before the lesson is due to take place.You will get bank details in your confirmation email from LDA once you book the lesson. 
• Failure to make payment within this timeframe may result in the lesson being cancelled and the appointment being offered to another learner.

Offer for Beginner Drivers 10 hour course £375, save £75 compared with paying the standard hourly rate.
